International Treaties and Conventions

The Governments of Anguilla and the United States have ratified a mutual legal assistance treaty that extends the exchange of information between them regarding activities considered criminal in both jurisdictions. The treaty is aimed specifically at keeping Anguilla free of the drug-related and money laundering taint that has afflicted some jurisdictions.

The United Kingdom Income Tax Conventions with Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, New Zealand and the United States are applicable to Anguilla but are of little consequence on account of Anguilla's zero tax status.

The Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty between the United Kingdom and the United States concerning the Cayman Islands and relating to criminal matters applies to Anguilla, but does not apply to taxation issues.
