Anguilla Business Company (ABC)
Unlike The International Business Company ("IBC"), The Anguilla Business Company ("ABC") can do business within Anguilla as well as internationally. Like an IBC, it can be migrated in to or out of Anguilla.
Since Anguilla is a zero-tax jurisdiction an ABC will be free of taxation unlike its equivalent in many other offshore jurisdictions. Thus this entity is no less tax efficient than an IBC and can be used instead of an IBC if the slightly more onerous reporting requirements are not considered a deterrent.
An ABC is exempt from many filing and reporting requirements of a public company (a company offering shares to the public), and may also be designed to function in conjunction with a trust created under the Trusts Ordinance 2000. It also has the flexibility to be adapted as a special purpose company for a wide variety of applications.
The (ultra vires) doctrine has been excluded and nominees may be used in place of principals. Further, there is provision for redomiciliation of companies incorporated under the laws of other jurisdictions.
